How to measure your wall
- Measure the width at the widest point and the height at the highest point.
- Measure in a few places, because walls are rarely perfectly straight, and use the largest numbers.
- Add about 5 cm (2") to each side for trimming.
- Ignore doors, windows and sockets. Simply cut around them when hanging.

Concrete-Look Wallpaper in Blue and Brown Tones
Rusty Deco Art Wall Mural
Concrete textures in blue and brown with rusty deco accents – an industrial, artistic feature wall for living rooms and offices.
About this design
Deep rust and chocolate-brown tones at the top of the wall bleed down into a weathered teal and petrol-blue patina, with patches of verdigris, chipped paint and darker shadows. It looks like an old painted metal or plaster wall that has aged beautifully over decades.
Where it works best: a living room behind a beige sofa, a home office, a loft or a café, bar or restaurant. It pairs well with cream and taupe upholstery, round metal side tables, tripod lamps and dark green throws.

What you'll need
- Spirit level or plumb line
- Pencil & tape measure
- Brush or plastic spatula
- Sharp utility knife & straight edge
- Clean sponge & cloth
- Paste & roller (paste-applied materials only)
Before you start
The wall should be dry, smooth, clean and free of dust. Fill cracks and holes and let fresh paint or plaster dry completely. Lay the numbered panels out on the floor to check the pattern, then draw a straight vertical line one panel width from the left edge and hang panel 1 against it. Peel & stick materials are not suitable for rough, uneven or textured walls.
Nonwoven, Textured & Deluxe Textured
Paste the wall, not the paper.
- Roll paste for nonwoven wallpaper onto the wall, a little wider than one panel.
- Hang panel 1 against your vertical line, leaving about 5 cm (2") extra at the top and bottom.
- Smooth from the centre outwards with a brush or spatula to remove air bubbles.
- Hang the next panels in order, edge to edge (no overlap), matching the pattern.
- Trim the excess with a sharp knife and wipe off any paste with a damp sponge.
Peel & Stick and Peel & Stick Canvas
No paste, no mess.
- Peel back the first 20–30 cm (8–12") of backing and align panel 1 at the top.
- Pull the backing down slowly while smoothing from the centre outwards.
- Reposition gently if needed, then press firmly. Hang the next panels in order and trim.
